體育資訊7月24日報道宣稱 國際奧委會第142次全會於北京時間7月23日在法國首都巴黎開幕。而在今晨進行的投票中奧委會全票通過了設立奧林匹克電子競技運動會項目。

根據此前奧委會宣布的消息，首屆電子競技奧運會將於2025年在沙特舉辦。
